The new BCResidents.com Watchdog Website posed a question to the Community regarding the Big Canoe GM, Scott Auer. The question is, “why is Big Canoe being led by a General Manager with no prior or proven experience managing a community—or anything of this importance and scale?”
FOBC feels this is probably a good time to present the community with a few facts about Scott Auer, and to start demonstrating BigCanoeDOGE’s helpful A.I. powers.
In the 10 years prior to becoming Big Canoe’s GM, Scott owned and operated a Molly Maids Franchise (under the legal name of Auerlife, Inc.) – managing approximately 22 employees (mostly 2 person house cleaning crews). That is a far cry from managing a 400 – 500+ diverse employment base such as is found in Big Canoe.
- Most Molly Maids Franchise Contracts require the Owners of each Franchise to be active participants, working full time. I found this out through simple research, but for 2nd confirmation I asked ChatGPT, who spit out the following – 1 Page ChatGPT Report
- In 2020, 2021, and 2022 (see links for GA SOS filings) Scott Auer was listed as the only Officer of the company (holding CEO, CFO & Secretary positions).
- In January of 2023, Scott came up for a performance review. My sources at the time told me that the new Board Members had become concerned that Scott’s contract ties to Molly Maids could look bad. So at that time… Scott appointed his wife as an Officer of the Molly Maids franchise. You can see the new addition in the 2023 Secretary of State (SOS) filing.
During his time as Big Canoe GM, 1-Star Scott also found time in 2021 to apply for a PPP Loan for his Auerlife, Inc business (dba Molly Maids), for $121,022 (January 2021), referencing 22 Employees whose jobs were being protected.
During this time… Scott Auer has been raking in an enormous benefits package from the Big Canoe Property Owners. Following is a Report (including chart) of his Salary and Benefits progression – Scott Auer 2021-2023 Compensation Report
Scott went from $233K to $290K during that time.
But Why do you call him “1-Star Scott”?
Because the last 4 out of 5 reviews prior to his hiring, that we saw on YELP for his Molly Maids business – were “1-Star” Reviews, and in 2 of them, you can even find Scott Auer, responding to the bad reviews in that same familiar spinlike manner that Big Canoe property owners have grown accustomed to. Don’t believe me – look at these excerpts – and you can see “Scott Auer, Owner” responding to his cleaning customers.
SINCERE QUESTION: What about the last 10 years of Scott Auer’s professional life was so damn attractive to our “Insider Search Committee” that they thought this guy was a good fit to be General Manager of this “small city” called Big Canoe?
PS>>> Thank you to the new BigCanoeDOGE A.I. account, with ChatGPT PLUS, for the research assistance, and visualization charts in the reports! BigCanoe DOGE is currently hard at work analyzing years of Big Canoe Accounting records, and the results will be released soon in new articles. In the meantime, they are on the way to the Big Canoe Auditors.
Peace,
