Big Canoe Water Committee Says, “NO TO SEWER!” (Pt. 1)

For Distribution in Big Canoe and Marble Hill

E-Coli Levels in Blackwell Creek have steadily increased since UIG took over the Water Treatment in Big Canoe.

Big Canoe Water Committee Meeting Minutes from the August 19, 2022 were recently released.  Following is a short excerpt:

“The BC Water Committee is in full agreement that ….. the sewer expansion by UIG to serve any outside properties should not be approved.”

Unfortunately, the Big Canoe POA Board of Directors is secretly (aka… in total non-transparent darkness) moving ahead with UIG negotiations to figure out how to make Sewer Expansion happen.  It has long been obvious to most property owners that the Big Canoe POA Board of Directors could care less about property owner wants, opinions, or rights to be informed.  Now it appears that their disdain for informed opinion even extends to their own Water Committee members.

Let this Newspaper be the first to throw out a prediction…. the Board of Directors will reach a deal with UIG, absent any property owner feedback, input or open review.  It won’t be something that is in the best interests of the Big Canoe Community, Marble Hill, or our neighbors in Cove Lake.  Unless Property Owners and Regional Residents put up a good loud fight.

After substantial deliberation, and discussions with many property owners, and some preliminary fact finding analysis…. FOBC is getting off the sidelines in regards to this Sewer Expansion Issue.  More reporting will be forthcoming in the coming weeks on this matter, and the FACTS behind a lot of what is driving this may surprise some people.  It is a little like the Iceberg that sank the Titanic.  You’ve only seen a small portion of the facts.  It’s the stuff they haven’t told you yet that is what will sink this in the eyes of most of the community.

And as a teaser to future articles, I will tell you in advance that saying “NO” to Sewer Expansion, won’t impact the ongoing operations of the IGA Foothills Complex in the least.  #FalseFlag to help drive public opinion, and allow Extreme High Density Development to sneak in a side door.  No one wants to see that wonderful addition to our community closed, least of all the Publisher of this Newspaper.
